Anatomical Studies on the Laryngeal Muscles of Korean Native Goat

Abstract
This study was carried out to investigate the origin, insertion, direction of muscle fibe s and structure of the laryngeal muscles of Korean native goat. The description was based on the dissection of fifteen Korean native goats with embalming fluid.
The results were as follows
1. Laryngeal muscles of Korean native goat were composed of M. cricothyroideus, M. cricoarytenoideus dorsalis, M. cricoarytenoideus lateralis, M. arytenoideus transverses, M. yroarytenoideus rytenoideus and M. hyoepiglotticus.
2. M. cricothyroideus originated in caudal border and lateral surface of the cricoid cartila: a and
inserted into caudal border of the lamina and the caudal cornu of the thyroid cartilage.
3. M. cricoarytenoideus dorsalis originated in dorsal surface of the lamina of the cricoid cartilage
and inserted into muscular process of the arytenoid cartilage.
4..M. cricoarytenoideus lateralis originated in lateral surface of the cricoid cartilage and inserted
into muscular process of the arytenoid cartilage.
5. M. arytenoideus tranversus originated and inserted into dorsal surface of the arytenoid cartilage. ,
6. M. thyroarytenoideus originated in basal part of the lateral border of the epiglottis and medial surface of the lamina of the thyroid cartilage and in the cricothyroid membrane and inserted into lateral surface of the vocal process and muscular process of the arytenoid cartilage.
7. M. hyoepiglotticus originated in keratohyoid and basihyoid, and inserted into basal part of the oral surface of the epiglottic cartilage.
